Access Opera ON TOUR
We are excited to announce a new in-school performance program to begin in March 2022, geared towards NY/NJ area students in grades 2-5.
The presentation will include four professional singers and a pianist, in an original staged compilation of some of opera’s best-known characters and musical numbers. The performer roster consists of Melanie Spector (soprano), Melisa Bonetti (mezzo-soprano), Joseph Michael Brent (tenor), Young Kwang Yoo (baritone), and Eric Sedgwick (piano). Each presentation will last approximately 35 minutes, and will introduce young audiences to the operatic genre from the comfort of their own school auditorium or classroom. Interactive elements for student and teacher audiences will also be included.
Bookings can be made through the Guild’s School Programs department for a fee of $2,000 per performance. Scholarships may be available to schools for whom this fee would present a hardship. The program is being produced with support from the Joseph and Robert Cornell Memorial Foundation.
