Welcome to the first video of our five-part series. In this video, you'll meet Miss Hannah and learn a bit about sea shanties. We'll also learn to sing the response section of a song called "Fish in the Sea."
In each video we'll also learn a bit about opera that feature sailors, pirates, and the sea! In this episode we'll learn a bit about 'The Pirates of Penzance' and watch the Pirate King sing a song about how much he loves his job. Make sure to check out this week's activity sheet for information about Snug Harbor on Staten Island.

Breath and Wind

This lesson is all about wind! Have you been out to try to fly a kite this spring? You've probably noticed the breezes are a bit stronger than usual this time of year. Miss Hannah will teach us how to learn more about breath - the WIND OF SINGING, and also about westerlies and trade winds on sailing ships. Hop on board and lets sail off together on our learning journey!
